Hello everyone! I thought I would let you know a little bit more about me and what this blog will look like. I am a current freshman in college and let me tell you it has been a time. I have gained so much more knowledge about POTS, my gluten-free diet and myself in such a short amount of time it has truly been a wild ride.
Now, to get into the good stuff so I don’t seem like a total stranger. I am originally from Yuma, Arizona and moved around quite a bit when I was younger, because my dad was in the military. We settled down in Northern Virginia where I went to high school. Now, I am at UNC at Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) as a pre-nursing major (so fingers crossed for that application in the fall).

Now some random fun facts 😉
- My favorite color is the ocean (all my favorite colors in one haha)
- I love my dog Trooper
- I have two things on my walls at school: disposable camera photos and a collection of random sayings that I have from everyone who has visited my room
- I am the oldest of four (I have three younger brothers and yes it is chaotic)
- I was diagnosed with POTS three years ago and what a time it has been
- People asking me if I’m gluten free by choice is my biggest pet peeve (because who wouldn’t eat bread if they could)
- I love mountain drives (tbh just drives in general, the photo on the left was taken in the Shenandoah mountains which will have a piece of my heart forever)
- I am happy to answer any questions or even to talk anytime!
Now, you may be wondering how this blog started. It all started when making recommendations for gluten-free food ideas that are college friendly to a friend who recently found out she was gluten-free (shoutout Nicole!) She got so excited when I told her she could eat POTATOES and RICE and CORN CHIPS and TORTILLAS! She had a blog herself and recommended that I start one. I thought it would be a great idea to connect the POTS community and to share what I have learned, so here we are!
I plan on putting up a new post every Friday about gluten-free recipes, POTS life, UNC craziness, fitness, and general life happenings! Stay tuned and feel free to reach out!
